It is the acronym for non-fungible token, that is, it deals of an asset created using blockchain technology that serves as the digital identity of an item, which becomes unique and exclusive.

LAND is a 1×1 digital land in the Sandbox metaverse. Game designers use LAND to build digital experiences, like games or events.

– ESTATE
An ESTATE is a group of several 1×1 LANDs that have been merged into one larger land .

– SAND
SAND is the utility token used throughout the Sandbox ecosystem as the basis for transactions and interactions, serving as in-game currency.

– Digital assets/cryptoassets
Similar to assets, being a generalist denomination that is linked to the Web3 ecosystem and denotes items with monetary value.

– Web3
The next generation of the internet being introduced leveraging blockchain technology, open source applications and the decentralization of data and information. Web3 aims to remove control of the web from monopolistic technology companies and return ownership of data and content to its users.

– Hub
When a user enters the game they will be in a hub that provides a central point to jump in different directions. From there, the player can choose which map to visit and which experiences to play.

– Freemium
A marketing tactic where a company offers free and paid versions of its product, which can mean also gifts that must be recovered upon consumption, such as coupons, discount codes, trial versions, etc…

– Play-to-earn (P2E) game
Play-to-earn games are considered a important part of the metaverse and reward players with cryptocurrencies or NFTs. Typically, the gaming platform is built on blockchain and offers players the chance to earn in-game tokens that can be sold or exchanged for money in the real world. Some games require you to pay, while others are free.
